Hello! My name is Daniel, and I am a student at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a major in Computer Science and Violin Performance and a Minors in Business and Music.
I am heavily interested in web-dev and front-end projects, UI/UX Design, and machine learning. I also love puzzles and problem solving!
In my free time I like to play violin, play piano, sing, cook, compose, song-write, draw, play board/video games, golf, and box!

Locammend - SWE Intern
September 2025 - Present
- Built photo capture feature for iOS app Locammend that allows users to extract vendor contact information from the camera within the app, decreasing user photo-uploading time by 50%.
- Improved prompt engineering for AI vendor-finder recommendation system, increasing response accuracy by 60%.!
PNC - SWE Intern
May 2025 - August 2025
- Built Java REST API app with Spring Boot and MongoDB to send payment status over Kafka topics for 1M+ users
- Led a team of 4 to architect and implement a connector app, improving data transfer reliability between Java payment apps and legacy mainframe systems
- Diagnosed and resolved critical defects across 7 PNC payment apps, including fixing a faulty validation process that blocked payment completion
- Created secure Kafka endpoints within payment simulator application to prevent users behind the PNC firewall from initiating unauthorized payments without security keys
SteelHacks - Director
January 2025 - September 2025
- Managed team of 30+ people to plan SteelHacks 2025 and raised $50,000+ to fund Pitt's largest hackathon to date
- Negotiated with 10+ companies like Google, Amazon, and PNC, delivering highest funding round in event history
- Recruited over 1000 students from 92 universities to apply for SteelHacks 2025, resulting in the highest attendance record of any hackathon at Pitt and 100+ project submissions at the event

- One of my hobbies is song-writing! I have one song published, Welcome to Hell, and I am working on another song as well!
Orchestral Compositions 🔗
- I love classical music, and I do my best to compose music in that style! I have composed a few pieces for symphony orchestra, a few piano solos, and some other small pieces!
Producing/Arrangement 🔗
- Over the years, I have been teaching myself to use different DAWs and produce music! I have made some OST for a game project I worked on, as well as an arranged song for a wedding!
